Hate Crime Law Implementation

Passing a law is just step one. Now we’re working with stakeholders to implement the law so that all marginalized communities are better supported.

Our continued advocacy is focused upon the following: 

  1. Supplemental funding for community organizations who work as first responders to hate
  2. Development of regional support through Oregon Department of Justice offices 
  3. Articulating stats about hate crimes and hate incidents

What we did: 

  1. Engaged stakeholders 
  2. Talked about the impact of hate upon the Muslim community
  3. Stood with survivors in their court cases
